Nothing is more important than the safety and wellbeing of the children in our care.

  • We have comprehensive policies and procedures in line with Early Years Foundation Stage and Ofsted requirements which are reviewed and updated regularly. Every member of our staff team and parents/carers of children at TippyToes are provided with a full copy of all of our Polices and Procedures.
  • Safe recruitment practices ensure all staff are DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) cleared and references followed up prior to commencing employment
  • We ensure that our staffing arrangements and ratios of staff to children meet requirements and the needs of every child in our care and ensure their safety
  • We give all staff a thorough induction and ongoing training to support their ongoing professional development and to keep them up to date with policies, procedures, safeguarding and welfare requirements
  • We have a Fire Safety Policy and an Emergency Evacuation Procedure which is practiced regularly by staff with the children
  • We have trained first aiders on site at all times
  • We carry out robust risk assessments which are reviewed on a regular basis
